This device can be installed on\u00a0new and existing vessels, expanding its applications in various maritime domains.\u00a0The Artificial Captain will find its main use in autonomous robotic vessels aimed at\u00a0performing a wide range of tasks, such as seabed surveys, for important infrastructure\u00a0builders, including offshore wind farm developers and ports. Global demand for\u00a0autonomous vessels is growing as they offer efficiency, reduce labour costs and\u00a0improve safety. The development of the Articulated Master is therefore a response to\u00a0the growing need for innovative and efficient maritime solutions.\u00a0As part of this AIRE project, AI-based object recognition software has been further\u00a0developed for MindChip.
