The goal was to bring information and control to a mobile device and gather data for creating a model that describes the grain drying process. The Smart Dryer solution includes measuring the temperature and humidity of both incoming and outgoing airflow, as well as temperature measurements within the grain in the dryer. The ultimate aim is to predict when a batch will be fully dried based on the data and provide recommendations for selecting optimal drying windows when the dryer load allows it.
