Demonstration projects<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

In order to increase the digital capacity of Estonian companies, we conduct test before invest demo projects where we test artificial intelligence and robotics solutions to overcome the challenges of companies. Valuing the broad-based creation of innovation, we initiate test before invest demo projects in as many different fields as possible and develop innovative solutions that do not duplicate existing technologies offered by private companies.<\/strong><\/p>\n

AI & Robotics Estonia (AIRE) invites Estonian companies to\u00a0<\/span>submit<\/span>\u00a0applications to the \u201cCall for ideas for test before invest\u00a0<\/span>demoprojects<\/span>\u201d\u00a0<\/span>in order to<\/span>\u00a0increase\u00a0<\/span>their\u00a0<\/span>competitiveness. AIRE\u2019s demo \u2018test before invest\u2019 project service allows companies to test Artificial\u00a0<\/span>Intelligece<\/span>\u00a0(AI) and robotics technologies before investing, encouraging further investment in digital technologies.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>In this context, the focus is on\u00a0<\/span><\/span>narrow artificial intelligence<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u2014 the use of AI with clear accountability boundaries and defined foundations, which supports humans in decision-making.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What are AIRE demonstration projects for?<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

AIRE enables collaboration with universities and other AIRE consortium partners (<\/strong><\/span><\/span>knowledge transfer<\/span><\/span><\/strong>)<\/strong> to test,\u00a0<\/span>experiment<\/span>\u00a0or\u00a0<\/span>validate<\/span>\u00a0the technological solution. AIRE does not support applied\u00a0<\/span>research<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>AIRE does not give grants to companies<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0(no cascade\/ third party funding allowed). Based on the call for ideas, AIRE\u2019s team provides extensive support for selected demonstration projects, which justifiably\u00a0<\/span>leverage<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>AI and AI-enabling technologies<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0(including robotics). The technology,\u00a0<\/span>methodology<\/span>, or prototype tested and\u00a0<\/span>validated<\/span>\u00a0during the demonstration project must bring\u00a0<\/span><\/span>novelty<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0and a degree of uncertainty (e.g., a tailor-made solution). The expected results of the AIRE demonstration projects are at least partly\u00a0<\/span><\/span>reusable<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0in other enterprises and economic sectors.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span> \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
