Companies can apply for support from the joint agency of EAS and KredEx to implement the digital revolution. The total amount of support is 58 million euros, and the maximum amount of support per company is 300,000 euros.
The prerequisite for applying for support is a digitalization roadmap report, which contains an overview of the company’s business model, supply chain and production or service provision process. The report provides an assessment of which bottlenecks in the supply chain and production or service provision process can be solved by digitization, what is the priority of solving the bottlenecks, the cost of the solutions and the impact on economic results. The company can make the roadmap itself or purchase it as a service with support from external experts.
The support is intended for example for the purchase of various devices and robots, if it is integrated with software or machine learning systems. Also for introducing cloud technologies and software robots, developing data analysis, integrating virtual and augmented reality solutions into business processes, and introducing and developing cyber security and data protection systems. The company’s sales revenue for the last two years must be at least 200,000 euros.

Background information
Based on the preliminary round of the competition for the creation of the European Digital Innovation Hub, or EDIH center, Estonia was the candidate for the final round of EDIH in 2022. The 7-year project of the AIRE Center (AI & Robotics Estonia) is planned to start on 1.07.2022, the budget for three years, i.e. 36 months, is 6 million euros. The European Commission announced the positive funding decision on June 1, 2022.
The center has six parties – the state representative and co-financier is the Ministry of Economy and Communications, the lead partner is Tallinn University of Technology and the University of Tartu, the Estonian University of Life Sciences, the science and business campus Tehnopol, the Tartu Science Park and the competence center IMECC.
