Webinar: Best use cases of artificial intelligence in Estonian industry
Despite the fact that many Estonian companies are intimidated by the idea of using AI in their day-to-day work, digital and AI consultant Lauri Antalainen encourages companies to get started.
“Voice-controlled warehouse management, automated order management, automation of quotations are just a few examples to start with. Every industrial company has the potential to successfully implement AI or its enabling technologies,” explains Antalainen. “Faster, more efficient, more fault-tolerant processes and shorter service times are just a few of the ways in which automation can help keep an industrial company competitive.” He adds that even if a company is not yet ready to adopt AI, it is possible to test the enabling technologies and use them to make a company more efficient and profitable.
Join us on September 13th at 9:00-10:30 for a free webinar at the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Centre AIRE, where experienced practitioners Lauri Antalainen and Martin Rebane will talk about what common problems in industry can be solved with automation and AI.
Program:
- Martin Rebane introduces different uses of AI in manufacturing.
AI can be used at every stage of production: forecasting, planning, warehouse management and at different stages of production.
The seminar will give examples of how voice commands can be used to manage production, automatically quote, control quality or optimise production schedules. It will also discuss how and what data every manufacturing company could collect to make the most of AI’s capabilities.
- There are a number of different tools for automation, including the implementation of software robots (RPA), the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI), interfacing and the implementation of data exchange platforms.
How to choose which tool or analysis to go with? What are the potential payoffs and returns?
Lauri Antalainen, an expert who knows the industry well, will shed some light on the subject.
- The webinar will also briefly present a measure targeting small and medium sized industrial enterprises, which has helped to assess the suitability of AI for process automation in nearly 30 industrial companies.
The measure has been successfully used by Tarmeko Spoon, HUUM, Tiksoja Puidugrupp, Estiko Plastar, Torm Metall, and others. The companies that have received advice have already developed their own pilot projects for AI solutions, which have also received funding from the support of the Ministry of Education and Science’s AI Development Programme. For example, Tarmeko Spoon’s pilot project received a grant of €65 000 and HUUM received €35 000.
The AI consultancy service can be used under the state aid, VTA measure.
