2024: Testing and validating the smart management system of the grain dryer
The IntelliDry solution enables the modernization of legacy grain dryers by equipping them with a modern sensor system that collects data on the drying process. Based on this data, the AI model predicts changes in grain moisture and estimates when the desired moisture level will be reached.
The aim of the project was to valiate the digitalization and modernization of grain dryers using artificial intelligence (AI) and to test the functionality of the IntelliDry AI-based software service under real-world conditions. A key goal was to evaluate how the previously developed AI model performs under varying conditions—such as different grain types and dryer models—in order to increase the universality and adaptability of the solution for a wide range of users.
During the 2024 season, nine different dryers were equipped with remote control modules and sensors, allowing the collection of detailed data on the drying process. This data was analyzed and its suitability tested on different AI models to further develop a model capable of predicting grain drying time under diverse operating conditions.
