According to the paper in German ,,Responsible AI for Society‘’, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can use AI responsibly by engaging in a “Frühzeitiger Umgang” (early engagement) with the legal requirements for the development and use of AI under the EU’s AI Act. This can help SMEs avoid economic risks and ensure their competitiveness in the European market. Additionally, responsible use of AI from the perspective of citizens is becoming increasingly important, and companies are expected to act responsibly in terms of negative impacts on climate, human rights, and health. Therefore, SMEs can use AI responsibly by considering the societal impact of their AI applications and ensuring that they align with ethical and legal standards.
