Introductory data analysis course for managers
In the coming spring of 2024, through AIRE, 3 places will be offered to employees of industrial companies at the Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) in the Digital Changes in the Company master’s subject Introduction to data analysis (6EAP). It is a valued and popular subject taught by data scientist and lecturer Kristjan Allikmaa (Datafruit). TalTech students have repeatedly chosen Kristjan Allikmaa as their favorite lecturer and “Introduction to data analysis” as their favorite subject.
In the spring of 2024, 3 places in the subject are open for employees of companies in the AIRE target group, for which the company has to pay with its own funds, but the places are guaranteed for those who wish. Contact lectures are held in the evenings and on weekends (session learning), the material is also covered independently in e-learning.
As a profile, we are looking for employees of industrial companies who are:
- Non-IT manager or executives (financial managers, purchasing managers, purchasing managers, analysts, sales managers, sales managers, production managers)
- At least 5 years of strategic management experience

Applications for open studies can be submitted through the open university until 05.02.2024. Since the first meeting takes place on February 1-2, we recommend registration no later than the last week of January.
In addition to registering yourself through the open university, you must also send your CV to kristjan.rebane@taltech.ee and note that you are joining through AIRE, based on this the lecturer can evaluate the participant’s profile and accept you into the subject.

The subject is conducted in groups of less than 20 with “Digital Changes in the Company” master’s students in the form of five 5.5-hour meetings (the majority of the volume is independent study outside the meetings) at the following times on Thursdays:
- 01.02.2024 at 16.00-21.30
- 15.02.2024 at 16-21.30
- 29.02.2024 at 16-21.30
- 14.03.2024 at 16.00-21.30
- 04/04/2024 at 16:00-21:30
The second group gathers on the following Fridays from 15:00 to 20:30
