The artificial intelligence and robotics center AIRE (EDIH) is co-financed by the European Union from the "European Digital Innovation Hubs" program (project number 101083677) and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications.
AIRE Club #32
The University of Tartu and SA Võrumaa Development Centre invite manufacturing companies to the information evening “AIRE Club #32” on October 3rd at the South-Estonian Innovation Centre!
EVENT SCHEDULE
17:40 Presentation of the demo project “AI Testing for Automating Business Processes through Voice Commands” by the University of Tartu and AS Tempest
18:05 Presentation of the demo project “Automation of Grain Drying Using AI-based Process Control” by the University of Tartu and IntelliDry OÜ
18:30-19:30 Informal networking session
The collaboration project between AS Tempest and the University of Tartu’s Institute of Computer Science tests the concept of an AI system for managing warehouse operations via voice commands, aiming to reduce the need for data entry by warehouse workers. The goal is to increase company competitiveness and optimize the time spent on supply chain processes. The AI receiving and interpreting voice commands will manage warehouse activities and interaction with the company’s information system.
The joint initiative between IntelliDry and the University of Tartu’s Institute of Technology aimed to create a compact AI-based solution for controlling the grain drying process, which can be integrated with existing grain dryers. The solution will enable the collection of machine-generated data to enhance management and decision-making capabilities for handling grain drying processes. The varying needs and methods of drying different grains (such as wheat, oats, rye, barley) and other agricultural products (like peas, beans, buckwheat, etc.) were also considered.
The evening will end with networking and refreshments, offering participants the chance to discuss the topics heard, share experiences, and establish new connections. The event is free for participants, but prior registration is required by September 29th. By registering for the event, participants consent to the possibility of being photographed during the event, and the organizer may share photos taken at the event on websites, social media, and in advertisements for future events.
Before the club event, there is a training session for manufacturing companies titled “Technologies in Future Factories“ (separate registration required).
The aim of the “AIRE Club” networking series is to create an open and informal environment for enthusiasts of robotics and artificial intelligence to share experiences and engage in networking. Representatives from industrial companies, research and development institutions, IT and electronics companies, professional associations, support organizations, and financiers, as well as other AI and robotics enthusiasts, are welcome to attend.
