The AIRE club discussed artificial intelligence and robotics
The 23rd artificial intelligence and robotics center AIRE club event took place this time during the career fair at the Estonian University of Life Sciences, with over 30 companies and more than 300 students and scientists participating. Attendees at the fair had the opportunity to learn about AIRE’s activities, whose goal is to enhance the competitiveness of Estonian industrial companies by offering them opportunities to collaborate with researchers to make their work processes more efficient by adopting artificial intelligence and robotics.
Members of the bioeconomy technologies department, Marten Madissoo, Indrek Virro, and Tormi Lilllerand, participated in the panel discussion, primarily focusing on how the university prepares future specialists, the constraints that arise, and the expectations companies have for university graduates.
Discussions were exchanged about the challenges industrial companies face when implementing AI and robotics, and how there is an increasing need for experts who possess broad-based knowledge from various fields. It is crucial that we are able to increasingly implement AI solutions in developing our industry and raise awareness to control and widely use these technologies.
