Lecturers of the training:
Meelis Kull is an associate professor of machine learning at the University of Tartu. He leads a machine learning research group that develops the ability of artificial intelligence to know the limits of its knowledge and express uncertainty when necessary, thereby making artificial intelligence a reliable partner. As an application, it works to let the self-driving car know when the perception system is uncertain, so that it can slow down for safety. During his doctoral studies, he did research in the field of bioinformatics and during his post-doctoral studies at the University of Bristol in Great Britain in the field of sensor data analysis. More than 1,000 students have taken the subjects taught by Meelis, and he has also been chosen by the students as the institute’s lecturer of the year.
Ardi Tampuu is a lecturer in artificial intelligence at the University of Tartu. In his doctoral thesis, he investigated the possibilities of data science for understanding biological processes, but now he focuses more on fields related to machine vision, such as self-driving, object and pose recognition. In addition to the university subjects, he has also conducted very popular continuing education trainings, such as “Artificial Intelligence Basic Course” with several thousand participants and “Data Science Opportunities in a Business Company” with more than 700 participants. He considers the structured execution of projects, project planning to be important, and has also taught continuing education courses on this topic.
Those who complete the training in full will receive a certificate of participation in the further training of the University of Tartu.
Places are full, registration is over!
The participation fee for the training is €480, which is covered by the minor aid (VTA). By registering for the training, the company confirms the permission to use the VTA balance for participation, which is registered in the register of state aid to companies as a co-financed participation fee in the “AI & Robotics Estonia (EDIH)” project.
