The artificial intelligence and robotics center AIRE (EDIH) is co-financed by the European Union from the "European Digital Innovation Hubs" program (project number 101083677) and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications.
AIRE club #23: Challenges and case studies in the application of robotics and artificial intelligence in production
Club content
Experiences of industrial companies in automation with a discussion of what are the necessary skills of beginning engineers in today’s world of artificial intelligence and robotics to advance the industry. The Estonian University of Life Sciences invites manufacturing companies to the AIRE club event, which is held as part of the Estonian University of Life Sciences Career Fair.
They share inspiring stories
Experts from manufacturing companies and Tormi Lillerand from the Estonian University of Life Sciences, who is working on the development of an autonomous agricultural robot as part of his doctoral thesis. The goal of automation is to increase the productivity and efficiency of the production process and ensure smooth, trouble-free work. The challenge is to create flexible engineering solutions based on needs. Let’s see what the challenges are in automation and experiences in the application of robotics and artificial intelligence in production. We will discuss how these solutions are currently implemented by companies and what are the expectations for specialists who should implement these technologies. We will talk about how AIRE can help industrial companies in this area and how it is possible to cooperate with the university to apply researchers in the development of the company and increase its competitiveness. We want to hear the thoughts of companies, how they see cooperation with universities, and what could be the biggest challenges in this regard?
By participating in the event, you can
- hear stories of how the implementation of automated devices has hidden challenges;
- which activities must be taken into account when robotizing;
- tips to consider when ordering automatic production equipment projects;
- talk about the challenges of implementing robotics and artificial intelligence and the expectations for universities in this field;
- an overview of the services offered by the artificial intelligence and robotics center AIRE to Estonian industrial companies;
- to meet researchers and students who are our future professionals.
Come listen and join in!
The AIRE club event is led by Marten Madissoo, a junior professor of processing technology at the Estonian University of Life Sciences
