Artificial Intelligence and Data Science: From Opportunities to Limitations
Discover the Opportunities of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science!
The use of artificial intelligence enhances productivity and competitiveness by making production management fast and data-driven.
Artificial intelligence (AI) and data science are transforming industries, helping companies optimize processes, improve decision-making, and increase efficiency. But where are the limits of these technologies, and when is it justified to use them?
In this training, we provide an overview of the opportunities offered by data science and artificial intelligence in industrial enterprises. We will learn how structured data can optimize business processes, when AI implementation is justified, and what the current technical limitations are.
TRAINING TOPICS
This course offers a practical overview of the opportunities that data science and AI provide to industrial companies. We will explore how structured data can be used to optimize business processes, when AI implementation is justified, and what the current technical limitations are. We will also discuss how companies can assess their data maturity and what steps they should take before adopting AI solutions. Additionally, we will cover cybersecurity-related topics.

TRAINING FORMAT
The training “Artificial Intelligence and Data Science: From Opportunities to Limitations” will be conducted mainly online. The final training day, on May 5, will take place at the University of Tartu’s Delta Study Building, running from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The online learning will take place in the Moodle environment, and registered participants will be granted access for the duration of the training.
Participants who complete the full course will receive a certificate of participation from the University of Tartu’s Continuing Education Program.
TARGET AUDIENCE & PARTICIPATION FEE
AIRE’s training programs are designed for industrial company managers, executives, analysts, and other industry specialists who want to better understand the importance of data and gain practical knowledge about the use of new technological tools.
The course is also valuable for companies that form part of the industrial value chain, such as IT service providers, logistics companies, educational institutions, and training organizations. More broadly, it provides useful insights for anyone involved in data analysis or decision-making related to production processes and development.
Participation is only available to legal entities (e.g., using employer-provided details). Registration is required by April 16, 2025, and seats are limited!
Registered companies in the target group will be directed to AIRE’s digital maturity assessment service, and participants will be contacted regarding this process.
Participation Fee: €480
The fee is covered under the de minimis aid (VTA). By registering, the company confirms permission to use its VTA balance, which will be recorded in the State Aid Register as co-financing for the “AI & Robotics Estonia (EDIH)” project.
